Since we are made new by grace through faith in Christ and filled with the Spirit of God, we are also called to put away behavior that leads to destruction like we might throw away clothes that have irreparable holes in them. Instead, we are called to live in such a way that our lives reflect God’s glory and love through the way we treat each other and “walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us.” Paul calls us to “live as children of light” because we are now “light in the Lord.”
