One of the things that most makes us long for Jesus’ return and renewal of heaven and earth is the injustice with which humans sometimes treat each other. The Old Testament prophets repeatedly talked about the “”Day” of the LORD, i.e., the day Jesus returns, as a day when true justice would come to humanity. Until then, standing firm in the face of injustice is possible with great faith and trust in God and His provision of courage to stand up for what’s right despite incredible opposition. This week’s message will look at scenes from the movie “Sarah’s Oil,” based on the true story of Sarah Rector, who after facing much injustice unexpectedly became one of of America’s first Black female millionaires at the age of 11.
BIG IDEA QUESTION: What is one area of injustice in your life or in our world that you wish was made right?
